Giving Tuesday is the day set aside the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving each year to encourage donations to worthy charities that make a positive impact in our world. While this is a beautiful sentiment, donors should be cautious. Charities can legally spend 99% of everything you donate to them on overhead, leaving almost nothing left to accomplish anything charitable.
