Eid al-Fitr 2026: Donate to a Top-Rated Charity

    Mar 19, 2026

Eid al-Fitr is expected to be observed this Friday, March 20th, 2026. Eid marks the end of Ramadan, and is celebrated by Muslims worldwide. It is observed through spiritual reflection, charity, and time spent with community.

There are two main Eids: Eid al-Fitr, the “Festival of Breaking the Fast,” which concludes the holy month of Ramadan, and Eid al-Adha, the “Festival of Sacrifice,” which honors the Prophet Ibrahim’s devotion and occurs during the Hajj pilgrimage. Beyond the festivities, Eid emphasizes charity and gratitude, with Muslims giving Zakat al-Fitr (a required charitable donation before Eid) to ensure those in need can also join in the celebration, fostering a spirit of peace, harmony, and brotherhood.

Those observing Eid may consider making a donation to one of the following Top-Rated organizations:

American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA) works to address the development and humanitarian needs of Palestinians and other communities in the Middle East.

Muslim Aid USA works to provide help to people who are victims of natural disasters or conflicts, or who are suffering from poverty, hunger, disease, illiteracy, discrimination, homelessness, debt, unemployment, injustice, or lack of skills or economic opportunity.

Zakat Foundation of America works to foster charitable giving to alleviate the immediate needs of poor communities and to establish long-term development projects that ensure individual and community growth.
