Estimates of the number of people killed as a result of the deadly earthquakes that hit Turkey and Syria on February 6^th, 2023, continue to rise. An estimated 22,000 were reported dead as of Friday, February 10^th, 2023, which increased sharply to an estimated 36,000 by Monday, February 13^th, 2023, according to reports by CNN.
